On 23 October 2025, the new thresholds were published in the Official Journal of the EU, which will apply from 1 January 2026.
Once the respective threshold is reached, a Europe-wide procurement procedure must be conducted. The EU thresholds for procurement law are adjusted every two years. The new thresholds therefore apply until 31 December 2027.

For the area of procurement in defence and security, publication is still pending; however, according to the EU communication, these thresholds correspond to those for sectoral contracting entities.
