PRACTICE AREA
Dr. Thress specialises in advising on trademark and competition law as well as distribution law.
He specialises in assisting and advising manufacturing companies and (online) retailers on the design of distribution models and online presences. Dr. Thress provides comprehensive advice on the establishment and enforcement of distribution systems, including those with an international dimension. He also specialises in distribution antitrust law, in particular in the area of e-commerce and other vertical agreements, as well as the protection of confidential information and the implementation of corresponding compliance structures in companies.
Dr. Thress regularly publishes articles in renowned legal journals. He also gives lectures on e-commerce and antitrust law and trains established companies as well as start-ups in this area.
He is also a member of the interdisciplinary working groups Digital and Industry 4.0 and Hospitality.

- Studied and obtained a doctoral degree at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich
- Advanced practical legal training in the Munich Higher Regional Court District and in New York
- Licensed to practice law since 2012
- Attorney at a law firm in Munich that specializes in the conduct of litigation
