PRACTICE AREA
Mr. Herweg advises companies and corporate groups in various industries throughout Germany in all matters of individual and collective employment law. One of his main industries is the healthcare system.
His specialty areas include preparing and conducting the employment aspects of restructuring, plant transfers, outsourcing, large-scale layoffs, and company transactions (due diligence, negotiations on reconciliation of interests and social compensation plan, arbitration procedures, employee dismissal protection cases).
Mr. Herweg conducts negotiations for employers with works councils and personnel boards as well as employee representatives in all matters subject to codetermination. He also represents companies in wage-scale matters and labor disputes.
He has extensive litigation experience, particularly in the area of employee dismissal protection law.
